General Patient Journey

Triage & Redirection

Patient arrives at Triage Counter A. If fever or URTI symptoms are detected, they are redirected to the isolated Fever Unit.

Registration

Registration is completed at a separate counter. Patient details are recorded, a queue number is issued, and the patient is allocated to the Doctor's Fever Room.

Vital Signs Assessment

The PPK records vitals and anthropometry using the JKN Procedure & Assessment Template. The patient then waits in the designated isolated area.

Medical Consultation

The MO conducts assessment using the JKN Fever & Dengue Template, assigns a diagnosis with SNOMED-CT coding, and formulates a management plan.

Diagnostics

If indicated, investigations such as FBC, dengue serology, COVID-19 RAT, or chest X-ray are requested via SystmOne and specimens are sent to the lab.

Treatment & Discharge

Medications are prescribed via PHIS integration. An e-notis notification is sent if a notifiable disease is suspected, and the patient is referred to ED if criteria are met before discharge with a follow-up plan.
